1.Validity of Quote - Quotes are valid for 30 days from the issue date. Prices may be subject to change after this period.
2. Payment Terms & Deposits -Full payment is due immediately upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. A deposit of 20% is required for jobs over £1,000. An invoice for the deposit will be issued once the work is agreed upon. Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, cash, or cheque. Repeat customers with a history of timely payments may be exempt from deposit requirements at our discretion.
3. Access to Site - The customer must ensure clear and safe access to the work area on the scheduled date. If access is restricted, causing delays, additional charges may apply.
4. Weather Delays - Work may be postponed due to adverse weather conditions. Any rescheduling will be communicated in advance.
5. Liability - We are fully insured for accidental damage caused during the work. The customer is responsible for protecting fragile items, plants, or property near the work area.
6. Stump Removal -Stump grinding, if included, is carried out separately from tree removal. Any additional stump work will require a separate quote. Payment for tree removal must be received before booking stump grinding, as it is a separate service requiring additional equipment and scheduling, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) & Conservation Areas - The customer is responsible for checking whether any trees are protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO)or located within a Conservation Area. If required, the customer must obtain permission from the local council before any work begins. Work cannot proceed until written approval is received.
8. Waste Disposal - The total cost covers collection, removal, and recycling of all cuttings, timber, and green waste produced during the work, unless otherwise specified. Additional charges may apply for unexpected volumes of waste.
9. Health & Safety - The work area must be clear of people, pets, and obstacles during operations.
10. Cancellation Policy -Jobs under £500: No cancellation fee. Jobs between £500 - £999: A 10% cancellation fee applies if canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled job. Jobs £1,000 or more: A 20% cancellation fee applies if canceled within 48 hours, or the deposit is non-refundable. If Red Kite Tree & Hedge Services cancels the job, the deposit will be fully refunded or transferred to a rescheduled date.
11. Completion & Clean - Up The work area will be tidied upon completion. Some sawdust or minor debris may remain due to the nature of tree work.
12. Dispute Resolution - Any disputes should be raised in writing within 7 days of job completion. We will make every effort to resolve issues amicably.
13. Force Majeure - We are not liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances, including extreme weather, strikes, legal restrictions, etc.
14. Agreement - By proceeding with the work, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
