My journey as a tree surgeon began in 2009 when I started as an apprentice with a small domestic tree company. In 2015, I joined a local council's tree team, gaining valuable experience in the commercial sector. By 2017, I moved on to a larger tree firm, where I worked on both domestic and commercial projects, becoming fully qualified and involved in contracts across the UK, including work for British Telecom, the Environment Agency, and Network Rail. During this time, I honed my skills in climbing, large tree removals, and reductions, as well as operating MEWPs and cherry pickers. In 2021, I transitioned into freelance subcontracting, allowing me to establish and grow my own business--Red Kite Tree & Hedge Services.
